Trump Wants to Take Over Canada, Rejects Military Invasion

Light House Denver – U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed an ambitious goal to make Canada the 51st state of the United States. However, he has rejected the option of a military invasion to achieve this goal. In an interview, Trump’s National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, clarified that the U.S. government has no intention of invading Canada. This statement addresses speculation regarding Trump’s efforts to take control of the neighboring country.

Canada as the 51st State

According to Waltz, Trump’s statement about making Canada the 51st state is not a new one. “Many Canadians are unhappy with the liberal and progressive government under Justin Trudeau’s leadership,” Waltz said. He explained that Trump’s statement reflects more of a desire to strengthen America’s leadership in the Western Hemisphere, from the Arctic to the Panama Canal. He emphasized that this is not about conquest but about reinforcing America’s strategic position in a vital region.

Trump himself expressed that Canada would be better off if it were part of the U.S. In an interview with Fox News, Trump stated that the U.S. loses about $200 billion per year in trade with Canada. “Why should we be paying so much every year in subsidies to Canada? If they were a state, I wouldn’t mind doing that,” Trump said.

Strengthening America’s Global Leadership

In a separate interview, Trump further elaborated on America’s global influence, including his efforts to take control of Greenland and the Panama Canal. Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio had previously voiced ideas of regaining control over the canal, which is crucial for international trade routes.

Government Spending Cuts

In addition to his ambitions regarding Canada, Trump has also highlighted significant budget cuts he has made across various U.S. government agencies, particularly the Department of Defense. “All spending in the Department of Defense is too expensive, takes too long, and doesn’t provide enough for the soldiers,” Waltz said. Trump is also planning to instruct Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), to identify budget waste in agencies such as the Department of Education and the Department of Defense.

Trump’s statements reflect his vision to reduce government spending and improve efficiency across different sectors. Despite the controversial nature of these policies, Trump remains committed to strengthening America’s position in the world.
