Light House Denver – A strange incident occurred involving a 19-year-old woman after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Her breasts unexpectedly grew from a B cup to a triple G size within six months following two doses of the vaccine.
The woman, whose identity remains confidential, received her first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in September 2022. She began noticing unusual sensations in her breasts. At the same time, gradual enlargement had already started. After receiving her second dose three weeks later, her breasts expanded sixfold. Concerned about the changes, she sought medical help at a hospital.

The patient strongly believed the vaccine triggered the growth of her breasts. Researchers from Toronto, Canada, documented the case in the journal Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery-Global Open. After conducting thorough examinations, doctors diagnosed the woman with pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH). This rare condition involves abnormal cell growth and benign lumps in breast tissue.
Doctors did not identify hormonal imbalances or other common causes of gigantomastia, such as pregnancy or specific medications, in her case. PASH remains a rare diagnosis, with fewer than 200 reported cases worldwide. This instance marks the first report suggesting a potential link between PASH and the COVID-19 vaccine.
Although the exact cause remains unclear, some studies propose that vaccines might temporarily cause swelling in lymph nodes. This could potentially lead to the appearance of larger breasts. The National Health Service (NHS) emphasizes that such reactions are extremely rare. They also stress that the benefits of vaccination far outweigh the risks.
In this particular case, the woman did not have any underlying health issues. Despite the significant swelling and sagging of her breasts, medical tests, including ultrasound and CT scans, revealed no lumps. The scans showed slightly swollen lymph nodes and dense blood vessels near her armpits, possibly linked to the enlarged tissue.
This unusual case raises questions about whether COVID-19 vaccines might contribute to excessive breast growth. However, further research is necessary to understand any potential connections fully.
The woman underwent breast reduction surgery 11 months after receiving her first vaccine dose. Surgeons removed 8 pounds (3.6 kilograms) of tissue and reduced her breast size to a double D cup. This intervention brought relief and helped address the physical and emotional challenges she faced during this time.
