Singapore Bans 4 Food Products Due to Dangerous Ingredients
Light House Denver – Singapore bans 4 food products after the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) issued a public warning against their consumption. These products are marketed as enhancing male sexual performance and promoting effective weight loss. However, they have been found to contain harmful substances that could pose serious health risks.
According to The Straits Times, the four banned products identified by the SFA are:

The first two products, Loboose High End Super Candy and Premium Thundercat Super Candy, contain tadalafil, a prescription drug commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction. According to the SFA, taking tadalafil without proper medical supervision is highly dangerous and may lead to:
“Tadalafil can also pose severe risks to individuals with heart conditions, especially those taking medications containing nitrates, as it may cause a life-threatening drop in blood pressure,” the SFA stated.
Meanwhile, authorities discovered that Lomie Peach Berries Blossom Fruity Tea contains sibutramine, a substance banned in Singapore since 2010 due to its link to an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. They also found that sibutramine causes severe side effects such as hallucinations and psychosis.
Urbanism Candy contains a combination of sibutramine and sennosides. Sennosides are laxatives commonly used to relieve constipation. However, when used excessively or for long periods, they can cause dehydration, abdominal pain, cramps, and chronic constipation.
Singapore bans 4 food products that were being sold on various online e-commerce platforms. The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has since worked with these platforms to remove the listings and has issued warnings to the respective sellers to immediately halt the sale of these items.
Authorities urge the public to exercise caution when purchasing food or dietary supplements online, especially those that promise instant results related to health or physical performance.
