Astronomer CEO, Andy Byron Caught Getting Cozy with Colleague at Coldplay Concert
Light House Denver – Astronomer CEO Andy Byron drew public attention after a video of him hugging a colleague at a Coldplay concert went viral. The moment quickly sparked widespread discussion across various platforms.
The incident occurred during Coldplay’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Boston on Tuesday night. The stadium camera zoomed in on a couple enjoying the music in the crowd. The video shows Andy Byron hugging Astronomer’s Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot (also known as Kristin Thornby), from behind. When they realized they were on the big screen, Cabot quickly covered her face while Byron appeared awkward and attempted to avoid the spotlight.

Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, commented on the moment from the stage, saying, “Look at this couple,” followed by, “They’re either having an affair or they’re very shy,” prompting laughter and cheers from the audience.
The video quickly went viral, racking up over 20 million views. Social media users soon identified the pair as Byron and Cabot. Public backlash intensified after it was revealed that Byron is married with two children. His wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, reportedly deleted her Facebook account and removed her husband’s last name from her profile before going offline completely.
Byron’s LinkedIn page was also flooded with sarcastic comments and Coldplay lyric references. One user wrote, “Who’s that woman on the jumbotron, Andy?”
Soon after, Byron took down his LinkedIn profile. Astronomer also disabled comments across all their social media accounts and has yet to issue an official statement.
Byron became CEO of Astronomer in 2023, having graduated from Providence College. The data infrastructure company reached unicorn status in 2022 and recently secured a $93 million Series D funding round backed by Bain Capital Ventures and Salesforce Ventures.
Cabot joined Astronomer in November 2024, bringing experience from several major tech firms. Byron had previously praised her leadership in a LinkedIn post, which has since been deleted.
As of now, Astronomer, Byron, and Cabot have not responded to media inquiries. They have also not released any public statements regarding the incident.
