The Importance of Balanced Nutrition for Pregnant Women

3. Folate (Vitamin B9)

4. Choline

Choline plays a key role in cell membrane formation and brain function, including memory. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the need for choline increases as it supports the baby’s brain development. Choline-rich foods include salmon, eggs, chicken breast, beef, broccoli, and almonds.

5. Vitamin D

Vitamin D helps the body absorb and manage calcium, which is essential for strong bones and teeth. For pregnant women, adequate levels of vitamin D are essential for the baby’s early development.
