Labubu Mini Coming Soon, Pop Mart Records Stunning Profits
Light House Denver – Pop Mart, the popular collectible toy company behind the Labubu character, is set to launch a mini version of the monster doll. According to Reuters, Labubu has so far been most popular as a handbag charm. Now, Pop Mart has announced that it will release a mini Labubu designed to be attached to mobile phones, with the launch planned for this week to attract even more fans.
Earlier, Pop Mart reported that The Monsters series generated 4.81 billion yuan in revenue during the first half of this year, accounting for 34.7% of the company’s total income. In addition, four other toy series also recorded sales of more than 1 billion yuan each, including popular characters such as Molly and Crybaby.

Pop Mart CEO Wang Ning stated that the company is on track to achieve a revenue target of 20 billion yuan by 2025. He added that this figure could potentially rise to 30 billion yuan (around US$ 4.1 billion) this year. The increase depends on whether the current growth momentum continues.
Pop Mart also reported a nearly 400% surge in net profit. Rising demand, particularly in overseas markets with higher profit margins, drove this growth. On Wednesday (Aug 20), Pop Mart’s stock became one of the most actively traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It jumped more than 12.5% to close at its highest level since debuting in December 2020.
Company executives revealed plans to expand into emerging markets. These include the Middle East, Central Europe, and Central and South America. Wang Ning expressed optimism about the company’s global expansion. He noted that sales from North America and the Asia-Pacific region this year are expected to match China’s sales by 2024.
Pop Mart’s core business model centers on producing and selling collectible toys through its blind box system. Customers purchase boxes priced around US$10 to US$20. They do not know which toy they will receive, which creates surprise and excitement.
Labubu, the wide-grinned monster from The Monsters series designed by artist Kasing Lung, has become a global favorite. International celebrities such as Rihanna and David Beckham endorse the character. It frequently sells out worldwide and has solidified its status as a true pop culture icon.
